Ministry of Higher Education Initiates Improving Environmental Circumstances for Students
On 11th Feb, 2013, His Excellency, Dr. Ali Saeed, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, chaired a meeting with university president assistants for student affairs to re-examine the student accommodations of the universities and improve the environmental circumstances for the students life.
Ministry of Higher Education Holds Health and Safety Meeting
Under the supervision of His Excellency, Dr. Ali Saeed, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, health and safety directors from universities of the region had a meeting on 12th February, 2013. Objectives of the meeting were to review the principle of health and safety in the universities to ensure perfect environments for the students, professors and university staff to improve and develop level and scientific and academic level and performance of the universities.
Commemoration of Kurdistan Flag Day
On 17th Dec, 2012, Dr. Ali Saeed, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, raised Kurdistan flag high on the Building of the Ministry. All the Director Generals, Directors and Employees of the Ministry attended the Ceremony of Commemoration of Kurdistan Flag Day. In which HE the Minister talked about the history of the Kurdistan Flag day and said “67 years ago, Qazi Mohammed raised Kurdistan Flag at the Republic of Mahabad.” The Minister also expressed his wishes a better future in Kurdistan Region.

Extending of hospitality exchange system
His Excellency Dr Ali Saeed said that the ministry of higher education in Baghdad has accepted to extend the hospitality student exchange system for the students from Kurdistan Region.

Initial Results of HCDP Round 3
The Ministry of Higher and Scientific Research is pleased to announce the initial list of names of the successful applicants for the third round of scholarship program sponsored by the ministry and known as HCDP. The application to the HCDP was made online and the candidates had to collect points since the program is based on colleting points.
