 Griffith University's May 12 Kurdistan Road Show

Representatives of some of the UK's leading English language centres are visiting Kurdistan in May for a Student Fair where all prospective students and their families are encouraged to come along, meet staff, and find out more.

His Excellency Professor Dlawer A. Ala`Aldeen the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Region participated in the Going Global 2012 conference held in London on 13 to 15 of March. His Excellency was accompanied by Dr. Issmat Khalid the president of Duhok University. Organized by the British Council, the conference was attended by representatives of more than 60 countries.

His Excellency Professor Dlawer A. Ala`Aldeen met with Dr. Ali Aladeeb the minister of higher education in the federal government during his Excellency’s visit to Baghdad.

Both sides stressed on the necessity to strengthen and activate joint works between the two ministries, such activities will push the academic process towards more prosperity in the both sides
.

The initial results for successful applicants from Turkey and Cyprus for the scholarship program are now available. (Please see below link.) The Directorate General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations has drawn on the best professional practices to ensure the transparency in the selection process of these fine students.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research would like to announce to the people of Kurdistan that the 4th term of the scholarship programme, Human Capacity Development Programme, will open in mid spring of this year.
