Mechanism Working of the Directorate of Coordination
Coordination office as the first unite formed since the founding of the ministry in May 2006 and it has been followed-up works related to the administrative and scientific affairs before forming other directorates.
Currency the name been changed to the Directorate of Coordination that belonging to the Minister's office and under the supervision of Minister's Advisor for scientific affairs.
The Main Tasks of the Directorate of Coordination:
- Coordination with Federal Iraq/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and facilitate the communication between our Ministry and Kurdistan Region's Institutions and University and all belonged scientific institutions .and all the correspondences are in Arabic language.
- The coordination with KRG's Ministries and the belonged institutions and universities and Kurdistan Region/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the correspondences are in Kurdish language.
Main Tasks and Achievements during currency year:
First: Administrative and Financial Affairs:
- Assignment all books and correspondences concerning staffs and teachers transfer and placement from Iraqi Federal/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research form middle and south of Iraq as a result of the difficult security conditions and conduct all transactions and coordination with Administrative and Financial office.
Second: Follow-up, Planning and Studies Affairs
- Support the Validity issuance of the issued certificates in middle and south of Iraqi's universities and conduct the correspondences that related to supporting issued certificates from Region's universities and in coordinate with General Directorate of Studies, Planning and Follow-up. And following legal procedures in case of proven forgery certificates.
- following necessary procedures in transferring and honoring students from middle and south of Iraqi's universities to Kurdistan Region's universities and according to their specialties. Transferring and honoring Yezidi, Shabak and Christian students to Region's universities as a result of difficult security conditions.
- In (2008_2009) the number of Yezidi,Shabak and Christian students in Region's universities reached to 952 and from khanaqin District to 700 Students.
Third: Cultural Relations and Scholarships Affairs:
- Following and conduct all the correspondences concerning teachers training program and under the supervision of UNESCO organization and in coordinate with the Iraqi Federal/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Deputy Minister's office for scientific affairs .and regarding teachers training in both Science and Education college in Salahaddin University.

- Universalize all issued Resolutions, Scholarships and Delegations
From the Federal Iraq/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Higher Technical Institutions and Universities. - Trailing all transactions and correspondences related to scholarships' students for the year (2005_2006) .and benefiting by universities' staffs and teachers.
- Support the validity issuance of the assessment certificates from the Federal Iraq/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Cultural Relations and Scholarships office.
Fourth: Research and Development Office's Works:
Trailing research mission for higher education students in Kurdistan Region's universities (M.A/PhDs.) in research stage and in coordinate with Research and Development office in Federal Iraq/Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
