Dr. Brwa Merza Saaid the director of Health and Safety at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research headed the third meeting of the control board for toxic waste; the meeting took place in the cultural center of Duhok University on the 2nd of February 2012.

The Ministry of higher Education and Scientific Research is pleased to announce the final results of the Human Capacity Development Program of its third round. The third round of the scholarship program is completely achieved through the utilization of up to date and latest software and information technology to maintain transparency and justice in the admission process.

The ministry of higher education and scientific research is pleased to announce the availability of 30 scholarships for the Kurdistan region offered by universities in Turkey and Cyprus.

His Excellency Professor Dr. Dlawer A. Ala’Aladeen officially opened the first University Fair in Iraq held in Erbil on October 13 to 15, 2011. About 1,500 Iraqi students attended the fair and met with representatives from 22 U.S. universities and higher education organizations.

On 19th of December 2011 His Excellency Professor Dlawer A. Ala`Aldeen participated in a medical conference on dental implants. The conference was also attended by the minister of health and the council of Hawler Medical University (HMU).

The Ministry of higher Education and Scientific Research is informing about a workshop for the HDCP candidates. This workshop has been organized for candidates who are planning to study at universities in USA. They will become familiar with the application and acceptance process of American universities as well as the visa process. The workshop will be held by Mrs. Lorna Middleborough, the adviser for education at the US embassy Baghdad.
